Faith
“Faith is the bird that feels light when the dawn is still dark.”
This collection of photographs is from a beautiful Buddhist monastery in Sikkim that warmly welcomed people of all religions, offering them the chance to see, understand and follow the Buddhist way of life. I was truly struck by the faith that people have in god, a cosmic force or other entity to bring order to chaos, to inspire hope and to sustain life. Once I was able to think of faith as belief, I realised that Buddhism, like other religions, is a story of faith. People across the globe believe in different stories of faith but they are united by their commonality of believing.
